Matt’s Notes
Hey there! If this looks different… thank you for visiting more than once! It is different!!
Now… a lot went into changing the theme… and getting the metadata just so in order to get it listed on the “traditional” podcast purveyors… much of which was accomplished with the Blubrry PowerPress plugin for WordPress… with over 50,000 downloads and updates as recent as three weeks ago… I feel good about adding it to this site… and the site for the music podcast as well! In fact, everything I do to improve the tech for this podcast has immediate benefits for Today New Brunswick, Tomorrow the World… which makes me feel good… from an instructional design standpoint…
My reading lately has been both broad and shallow… my final Readcember action was to NEARLY finish Lives of the Stoics… and a few other odds and ends! One of the tangible benefits of this show is… for me… feeling like I need to be read up to a certain degree…
In the coming week there will be a few more changes around here! I still want to tweak the WordPress, and ensure that the podcasting purveyors are rendering the show as faithfully as possible… after which, we can safely start looking at how we can change the audio and video recordings… the direction and the content and the formatting… to the optimal advantage for these sharing services…
Wishing you a safe, calm, and joyous 2023!

New Years’ Eve Special: Derelict, Lagan, Jetsam, & Flotsam
What we threw overboard, abandoned, noted to address, and addressed in 2022
Derelict – goods sank to the bottom and abandoned
Lagan – goods sank to the bottom and tethered by a marker to be potentially recovered
Jetsam – goods jettisoned and abandoned
Flotsam – goods floating on the surface and may be reclaimed
There is a need to reframe the way lifelong learning via the Internet is conceptualised and supported, to account for a more personal and democratic view, where individuals are supported to learn things that matter to them, and connects individuals with their local communities to support social change.

Digital pedagogy can use different synchronous and asynchronous EdTech tools to deliver educational content, to communicate and engage in learning among learners, parents, and teachers. There is a need for teachers to be equipped with the know-how related to digital pedagogy to take advantage of the benefits of EdTech, as replicating traditional pedagogies in EdTech needs to be questioned

Over the last 15 years, we have witnessed a significant re-appropriation of media technologies from the past, which has attracted both scholarly and popular interest… including terms such as:

What some Ai graphics software and pictures of myself looked like when I tried to make an ENT graphic (after many many tries). Both of these could be me as a Douglas Fir Ent.
We still need a logo and graphic for this podcast…
Word of the podcast:
New Years’ Eve & Happy New Year
Question of the podcast:
What Derelict, Lagan, Jetsam, & Flotsam would the audience like us to address in more detail in a future podcast?
Thank you so much for visiting! We are wishing you at least 364 more days of awesomeness ahead!
