Almost always. The neuroscience of dreams is interesting&#8230; or could be&#8230; particularly if you have OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA or uh, any other kind of sleep disorder&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lovely retro piece on free online courses, or as I call them FOC&#8217;s (say it aloud, like a word!) from the Guardian&#8230; <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/education\/2012\/nov\/11\/online-free-learning-end-of-university\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/education\/2012\/nov\/11\/online-free-learning-end-of-university\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Do online courses spell the end for the traditional university?&#8221;<\/a> This is, you may recall during peak FOC hype&#8230; the same year and same month as a very NOTICED and\/or NOTICEABLE article in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/11\/04\/education\/edlife\/massive-open-online-courses-are-multiplying-at-a-rapid-pace.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/11\/04\/education\/edlife\/massive-open-online-courses-are-multiplying-at-a-rapid-pace.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New York Times<\/a>&#8230; I&#8217;ve done more than a few presentations mentioning said NYT piece&#8230; mainly in another phase of an increasingly storied (not to say sordid) career, it must be said&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"653\" height=\"236\" src=\"http:\/\/analogue-trope.ca\/podcast\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-2023-09-28-234645.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-868\" srcset=\"https:\/\/analogue-trope.ca\/podcast\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-2023-09-28-234645.jpg 653w, https:\/\/analogue-trope.ca\/podcast\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-2023-09-28-234645-300x108.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 653px) 100vw, 653px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I will confess to enjoying the reference here to the challenges of the OU. I have what I must call an abiding interest OU courses and programming. I spent a few good days of professional development accessing free modules on project management&#8230; to see what these modules&#8217; experience was like as courseware&#8230; as much as for the interesting and potentially useful content&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AND FINALLY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not to say that this is the end of the emails-to-self, but simply this is as far as I am prepared to take these notes for this episode!
