I&#8217;m not going to pretend to give Dave any kind of introduction&#8230; except that he&#8217;s one of the most interesting people in our #edtech field&#8230; and a lot of my doctoral work references his work at UPEI (along with other colleagues). The rhizomatic lense - ICERI2015 Keynote Speech\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ROkbPHyb1D0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Dave has been involved in online teaching and learning for a really long time&#8230; <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rita Kop has spoken to a pedagogy of abundance&#8230; <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irrodl.org\/index.php\/irrodl\/article\/view\/1041#:~:text=This%20pedagogy%20is%20based%20on,of%20information%20flows%20on%20networks.\" target=\"_blank\">as &#8220;far back&#8221; as 2011&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ve done more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mqup.ca\/secw--pemc-people--land--and-laws-products-9780773551305.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reading from the Ignaces&#8217; book<\/a>&#8230; which helped inform some of our discussions in this episode&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There&#8217;s a more substantive set of notes lurking in the background of these ones&#8230; but this is the tip of the er&#8230; digital iceberg*&#8230; in terms of all the small acts of communication, synthesis, and creation that led to this specific manifestation vis-\u00e0-vis the WordPress site&#8230;   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*&#8221;Digital iceberg&#8221;&#8230; a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aupress.ca\/books\/120309-metaphors-of-ed-tech\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">metaphor for ed tech<\/a>&#8230; or not??<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As mentioned several times in the episode, I&#8217;m really enjoying<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/50484473-lives-of-the-stoics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> <em>Lives of the Stoics: The Art of Living from Zeno to Marcus Aurelius<\/em><\/a>&#8230; it&#8217;s reader-friendly, and helps satisfy my inner philosophy minor&#8230; and my latent but long-standing interest in ancient histories&#8230; and also helps me make sense of my&#8230; &#8220;self-employed&#8221;, single dad, post-academic, post-divorce actions and personhood&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ll give the final word in these notes today to Samuel Beckett.
