This was, partially, a function of being short on time this week&#8230; but&#8230; I look at these pictures, these photographs, these documents&#8230; of what was&#8230; and all the futures both lived and possible&#8230; the living personhood of some ancestors and elders&#8230; an entire way of life both explicit and implied&#8230; it&#8217;s to be taken somewhere else while wholly remaining where we are right now&#8230;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I spent a lot of time looking at Google Fonts today&#8230; I&#8217;ve gone there for the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/fonts.google.com\/specimen\/Metal+Mania\" target=\"_blank\">Metal Mania font <\/a>we use at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/analogue-trope.ca\/music\/\" target=\"_blank\">the music podcast<\/a>&#8230; and the font for my new consulting venture is&#8230; <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/fonts.google.com\/specimen\/Zen+Antique+Soft\" target=\"_blank\">Zen Antiqua Soft<\/a>&#8230; which&#8230; in all honest sincerity&#8230; completely conveys the vibe I&#8217;m after with said venture&#8230;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I&#8217;m proud (weirdly) to say that I&#8217;m now a paid member of <a href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com\/plus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Unsplash Plus<\/a>! It is fully essential to social and human development in its ability to transform lives. For individuals, families, and societies alike, it is an instrument of empowerment to improve one\u2019s health, one\u2019s income, and one\u2019s relationship with the world.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UNESCO, 2016<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"468\" height=\"360\" src=\"http:\/\/analogue-trope.ca\/podcast\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Picture3-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-288\" style=\"width:588px;height:452px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/analogue-trope.ca\/podcast\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Picture3-1.jpg 468w, https:\/\/analogue-trope.ca\/podcast\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Picture3-1-300x231.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Imagine teaching this without a context.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We would like to suggest that the term \u2018<strong>dynamic literacies<\/strong>\u2019 is one way to think about an inclusive, umbrella term which is responsive and inclusive enough to describe the changing nature of meaningmaking in the context of digital media and culture. &nbsp; \u2018Dynamic literacies\u2019, is, for us, a term which brings together the shifting and contested versions of literacies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\u2018Dynamic literacies\u2019, a key concern of this book is the changing nature of teaching and learning in response to the widespread consumption and production of digital media texts and artefacts in wider culture.&nbsp; We recognise, in turn, that this has a great deal to do with how we define \u2018literacy\u2019 with \u2018 because literacy is in some senses in a symbiotic relationship pedagogy\u2019; our shared understanding of what it means to be literate determines not only what we learn but how we learn and even what it means to be a learner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Potter, J., &amp; McDougall, J.
