Or perhaps some other #edfolk?<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, we made it through a successful demo! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click below to watch the video&#8230; and\/or stream audio&#8230; doubtless at some point there will be a download capability&#8230; but probably it is unlikely people will want the trailer&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ed non Tech podcast Trailer 1\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/j7tNur64l2A?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Radio on the Tube??<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"http:\/\/analogue-trope.ca\/podcast\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Ed-non-Tech-podcast-Trailer-1_final.mp3\"><\/audio><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Hopefully on the way to Spotify and other Pod Spots sooner than later&#8230; <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Show Notes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was all about getting the thing up and running!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After some initial trial and error, Skype was determined to be the best web conferencing platform for EnT&#8230; mainly because it is free, we&#8217;re both familiar with it, and it can provide a downloadable recording of a meeting for up to 30 days&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matt used TechSmith Camtasia to create the video and audio files&#8230; he started with the free trial version but then had to upgrade in order to produce a video free of watermarks&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Audio clips were downloaded for free, and free of copyright, from <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/pixabay.com\/music\/search\/punk\/?manual_search=1&amp;order=None\" target=\"_blank\">Pixabay<\/a>&#8230; images were downloaded from <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Unsplash<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Doug is a really big fan of ukulele music&#8230; and Matt goes for alternative, punk, metal, and whatnot&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Doug is in charge of choosing the topics&#8230; and setting the schedule&#8230; Matt is the primary on getting the pod to WordPress&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matt unpackaged a Maono podcasting kit&#8230; and Betron headphones&#8230; Doug took out his headphone and mic combo during the Skype meeting&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matt then fiddled with online file compressors&#8230; and Camtasia&#8230; and YouTube&#8230; and God, do those things run slowly on a laptop&#8230; and slow up everything else&#8230; <em>Matt misses having a desktop computer at work<\/em>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For next time, Matt&#8217;s going to get a better camera&#8230; higher res&#8230; than the in-built camera in his laptop&#8230; there also has to be a way of getting less loss of visual quality between producing the Camtasia video file and uploading to YouTube&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Very likely we&#8217;ll be looking at the documentation on getting pods listed on Apple, Spotify, etc. before our first full episode&#8230; shortly before Canadian Thanksgiving&#8230; or not?
